Affiliate Disclosure
PeakLoadout is funded by affiliate programs, display advertising and clearly labelled sponsored placements. As of 20 October 2026, every outbound link on PeakLoadout is a plain editorial link: when a page carries an affiliate or sponsored link, that page says so. This page explains each one, because you should be able to tell exactly how a page you are reading is paid for.
How affiliate links work
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. That commission helps fund our editorial work and keeps the site free to read.
Our affiliate partners
- Amazon Associates, for product links to Amazon. A page that links Amazon with our tag states that we earn from qualifying purchases.
- Brand affiliate programs, which several e-bike makers run. Where we join one, its links are marked
rel="sponsored"and the ranking on the page is unchanged.
Display advertising
We may display ads through Google AdSense. Ads are visually distinct from editorial content.
Sponsored placements
We sell sponsored placements, and every one of them is labelled as sponsored on the page it appears on, with the outbound link marked rel="sponsored". A sponsor pays for the placement and for our time. A sponsor cannot buy a position, a rating, or a recommendation. If you can see it, it is disclosed; if it is not disclosed, nobody paid for it.
Editorial independence
Our rankings and recommendations are never influenced by affiliate commission rates or by whether a company has paid us for anything. Products are evaluated on their merits using our published methodology. If a product with a lower commission rate, or no commission at all, is the better product, we say so.
